Source: If Favre makes a comeback, it will be with Buffalo
Now that the NFL lockout is over and training camps have begun, the next obvious news cycle for NFL fans is the annual Brett Favre watch. Before the lockout ended, rumors swirled that the Philadelphia Eagles were interested in Brett Favre’s services as a backup for Michael Vick. But Philly isn’t an option for the 41-year-old Favre according to our source, because if he started week #5 for Philly, he would have to line up against one Arthur Moats.

Don't cross the moats
With this crushing hit, Arthur Moats brought Favre’s record shattering 297 consecutive start streak to an end. Although Favre’s injuries have since healed, the psychological damage still lingers.
“Brett ‘Crossed The Moats’ once before,” says our source, “he won’t make that mistake again. Now he’s got one option, Buffalo, simply because Buffalo is the only place Brett or anyone else is safe from The Moats”.
A safe haven from “The Moats” is a good reason to play for Buffalo, but it’s not the only one. In addition, Favre would add 20 years of NFL experience to a franchise that values the elderly. The Bills currently have the NFL’s oldest owner (Ralph Wilson), the oldest GM (Buddy Nix), and the second oldest head coach (Chan Gailey). If they added Favre, the Bills would have the oldest QB in the NFL. According to our calculations, the four of them would account for over 10,000 years of combined NFL experience.

Buddy, Brett, and Chan: A match made in redneck heaven?
“Brett would be right at home. Southern boys stick together, and Buddy and Chan are the biggest couple of good ol boys north of Texas Stadium,” our source tells The BO. “I can already picture Buddy, Chan, and Brett sitting around the spittoon, watching game film, and sharing a bottle of Buddy’s homemade white lightning.”
As of now, Favre remains retired. But we expect Favre rumors to heat up towards the end of camp, because, well… they always do.
